I've decided that for my first post, I would just do a quick update from the year thus far...so here goes:
January - I don't think anything to special happened. I turned 20 and let me just say that this age is a bust. Nothing good happens. Nothing changes. It's quite boring. Moving forward.
February - My roommate Meghan and I had a few friends come down from Provo to stay with us for a couple days. One night, we drove down to Vegas to get our "party" on.
Me, Meghan and Steven walking through the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace.
Lindsey, Shayna, Me, Meghan and Steven waiting outside Cheesecake Factory in Caesar's.
Vaughn, trying to look badass in H&M
Meghan and I in the new Hotel and Casino, The Cosmopolitan. It is so cool inside!
Also, during this wondrous month we took a little trip up North to the 801 to visit some friends. We tend to take a lot of car pictures...
We love the 'timer' setting on the camera!
Kodak moment of something funny...
Meghan is a goof!!
And of course, we had to stop at the Beaver Chevron and take a picture in the big chair. Our friend Lindsey that we went to Vegas with, her family owns this little joint!
March - Festival of Colors! Jake, Steven, his little brother Aaron, Meghan and I went and had a blast! We also met up with Jake's roommate Austin, his now fiance Stephanie and one of her friends. Such a blast! We had chalk up the wazoo! For those of you don't what the festival is about...I'll sum up. Some ethnic culture throws colorful chalk up in the air and sings funky songs saying goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring. It's a big thing for the kids my age to go and get dirty!
Chad loves him some pineapple! (might I add, that it was quite delicious!) He rode up with us, so that he could take his MCAT for medical school. Chad is a smarty!
See, I told you we stop everytime and take a picture! I can't find the one with all three of us. :(
On the way to the festival. So clean!
Walking up to the temple. People threw chalk at us as we walked down the road!
Me and Meghan
Aaron, Jake, Steven, me and Meghan
So Colorful!
Note of advice: Don't try to wash the chalk off with facial cleansing wipes. You'll end up looking like a freak. Example: Meghan.
March was a busy month! I also had the pleasure of watching my nephew Josh for 13 days why his parents went on a cruise. He is so cute and we are all so blessed to have him in our lives. He truly is a remarkable little boy.
One night, we went to Texas Roadhouse. This is Josh and Grandpa (Pa) Todd.
His new outfit for St. Patrick's Day. I spoil that boy rotten!
We love to run errands!
He's a little cowboy! It was so fun to watch him!
April - There is a family who comes into the pharmacy where my mom and I work. They just happened to own a little resort type thing at the Zion Ponderosa at East Zion. We are so lucky that they let up come up and stay for a few days in AMAZING vacation homes! The homes are exquisite! This past year, Meghan got to come to that was fun!!
Sometimes, we stop in the middle of the road and take pictures.
Ummm..
Trapped mom and Todd in their room.
Intense Scrabble Game
Ready to go ride!
Me and Garrett.
Out at some canyon/ravine. I don't remember the name. Oops.
Watching the rapellers. (Yeah, I don't know how to spell that.)
At the top of our ride.
I think I was pretending to be a bird...
When we went out on our own. Ignore the crack.
Garrett, me, Meghan and Trent out at the firepit/overlook.
This is why I love my brother.
Meghan!
I may have gotten stuck in the mud...
See! :)
I don't know how she stayed clean. She must have been careful. Hahah.
I got sooo dirty! Woot!!
Roasting Mallows.
Yum!
Lighting hand sanitizer on fire. We're pyros.
My older brother Michael, can only fit one of those in his mouth! Crazy.
Josh and I on the last day, waiting to go home.
May - What better way to break your fast on Fast Sunday than a cookie bar with friends? I know right. A great idea. Thank you Shane. Meghan, Shane and I all made cookies and then we ate them! So good!! Meghan made snickerdoodles, I made oreos and Shane made no-bake-cookies. He makes the most delicious cookies I have ever tasted, next to my moms of course.
